Humanities and Social Studies

The initiators of the creation of “Humanities and Social Studies” were research workers and academic teachers of the Kielce Higher Pedagogical School further transformed into the Jan Kochanowski ?wietokrzyska Academy. From 1992 till 1996 the first three volumes of the magazine, whose title was then “Kielce Social Studies” (Polish “Kieleckie Studia Spo?eczne”, ISSN 1230-5049), were issued. Following its resumption, the first and second volume – from 2005 and 2007, were published under the title “Humanities and Social Studies of the ?wietokrzyska Academy” (Polish “Studia Humanistyczno-Spo?eczne Akademii ?wi?tokrzyskiej”, ISSN 1734-4689). Starting from the third volume of 2009 the journal has been published under the current title “Humanities and Social Studies” (Polish “Studia Humanistyczno-Spo?eczne”, ISSN 2081-2493).

As far as the substantive approach is concerned the journal is a periodical devoted to history, political science, security, international relations, administration and law, including in particular the history of administration and law and constitutional law.  Apart from essays, also source materials, reviews and reports are published in the magazine.

“Humanities and Social Studies” is issued in print by the University Press the Jan Kochanowski in Kielce.
